Meaning of Names?

There is a family at my job who has two girls: Ephemia and Kassiani. What are the meanings of these names? I think the family is Greek if that helps?

Meaning of Names?
I couldn't find Ephemia, but found a name similar to it, Euphemia.

EUPHEMIA

Gender: Feminine

Usage: Ancient Greek, English

Other Scripts: 螘蠀蠁畏渭喂伪 (Ancient Greek)

Pronounced: yoo-FEM-ee-a (English) [key]

Means "to speak well", derived from Greek 蔚蠀 "good" and 蠁畏渭喂 (phemi) "to speak". Saint Euphemia was an early martyr who was burnt at the stake.

Kassiani wasn't found either. Sorry. Closest was Cassia.

CASSIA

Gender: Feminine

Usage: English, Ancient Roman

Pronounced: KA-sha (English) [key]

Either means "cassia" from the name of the spice tree (see KEZIA), or else is a feminine form of CASSIUS
Reply:Kassiani

Meaning: Pure

Gender: Girl

Origin: Greek

Kassiani (also Kassiane, Kassia, Ikasia, or Eikasia) was a Greek-Byzantine poet, composer, and hymnographer. She is one of the first medieval composers whose scores are both extant and able to be interpreted by modern scholars and musicians. Approximately fifty of her hymns are extant and twenty-three are included in Orthodox Church liturgical books.

Ephemia (a 4-syllable girl's name)

Means: Auspicious; fairest; spoken.

Origin:Greek

July 11th in Greece, the Feast of Ephemia is celebrated. Women who are named after Ephemia celebrate their name day on this day. It is often wandered if these women get two birthdays.

Hope this helps!
