Before he rebelled Lucifer was the angel of light and led worship in Heaven but then decided he should overthrow God and sit on the throne himself. He convinced a third of the angels to follow him but Michael led the other 2/3 and cast him out of heaven.


There are many other angels but these are the ones specifically mentioned in the Bible. I do not know the meanings of their names. I am Christian (Roman Catholic).
