Meaning of names Greta and Elisabeth? would they be good together 1st/middle?

Greta is a variant of Margaret which has a Greek origin and means, "pearl." Elizabeth, has a Hebrew origin and means, "God's oath." I would put Greta first.

Unknow on Greta but Elisabeth means God's Oath and it is Germamic/Hebrew
Reply:I am an Elizabeth but I like the s used instead, Greta is nice as well.
Reply:i'm not sure about greta, but elisabeth is good. we used to joke around about the name greta in high school, there was no one in particular we were thinking of, but still, it reminds me of that
Reply:Greta is really a nickname for Margaret. Margaret Elizabeth and Elizabeth Margaret both work. If you want to use Greta, put it first. However, I would suggest Margaret Elizabeth, with Greta as an every-day nickname. It gives more options than using the diminutive as a primary name.
